Join Angelina’s Angels!
Inspired by a longtime dystonia advocate named Joanna Manusov who passed away at the age of 48 years old in 2021. Throughout her life, she continuously worked to increase awareness and raised funds for research. Parts of her body were painfully contorted by dystonia and as the disorder progressed, she lost her ability to speak, to eat, to walk, and to use her hands. Her mission was to prevent others from experiencing the same difficult life that affected her. Angelina’s Angels was created to join efforts with Joanna’s parents Janice and Len Nachbar, both outstanding advocates dedicated to providing support to families and to the DMRF mission. Our family is coordinating this event in Joanna’s memory and in honor of all those who struggle with dystonia. We ask that you consider supporting this event as a sponsor or in-kind donor. Your generous gift can help bring awareness in New Jersey and the tristate area to offer a better path for research to lead to more accurate diagnosis, better treatments, and hopefully a cure for better quality of life for those impacted by this challenging movement disorder.
