Nancy is a professor and speech-language pathologist in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University who has been specializing, for the past 40 years, in swallowing, speech, and voice issues associated with neurologic diseases in children and adults.
Treating swallowing disorders
Swallowing disorders is a frequent complication of dystonia. We will be discussing the oral, pharyngeal, and esophageal phases of swallowing and ideas to facilitate better swallowing during each phase.
