Taking Care of your Emotional Health in Peri-Pandemic Times
Dr. Minassian is a clinical psychologist and faculty member at University of California San Diego (UCSD). Her clinical work is with people with acute and chronic medical issues. She is also part of a COVID working group at her hospital. Dr. Minassian received her doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology-San Diego. She completed her pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training at the UCSD, and joined the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry where she is currently a Clinical Professor. Dr. Minassian is a clinical psychologist and an attending clinician in the UC San Diego Health System. Her clinical area of expertise is consultation-liaison and she serves as Chief of Embedded Services, overseeing psychological services at the Burn Center, the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, the Pain Program, and others. She also serves on the Health System’s Long COVID working group. She is co-Chair of the department’s Diversity Committee and serves on university- and hospital-wide diversity focus groups. Dr. Minassian has a research program that is focused upon understanding the relationship between biology and behavior in mental illness, medical illness, and substance abuse.
