On November 7, 2021, I will step up to the start line once again to run the NYC Marathon. This year has a particular significance for me, as it is also the 10 year anniversary from when my best chum Jon made the brave and bold decision to get Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery to step up his battle with Dystonia, a movement disorder that had afflicted him to a level that had him moments away from being bound to a wheelchair for the remaining days of his life. So this year, I run to raise money for the Dystonia Research Medical Foundation, to help others access the kind of research and opportunity from which Jon has been fortunate enough to benefit (we just rode 100 miles on our bikes a few short weeks ago!).
