Chicago Dystonia Zoo Day was held at the Brookfield Zoo on Saturday, October 7. This family-friendly event was organized to promote awareness of dystonia, connect the dystonia community, and support the work of the DMRF.
DMRF Board members Art Kessler and Treasurer John Downey presented the prestigious Changing Lives through Science award to Cynthia Comella, MD, for her outstanding contributions to dystonia clinical research and new applications for botulinum toxins. Dr. Comella is a professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
Thank you to our participants, team leaders, volunteers and generous sponsors! If you have photos or videos from the event, please post them with #DystoniaZooDay and #LetsZooThis! Team donations can still be matched!
