FAQ Virtual DystoniaZoo Day

Go to https://dystonia-foundation.org/lets-zoo-this for all Virtual Dystonia Zoo Day activities. You do not need a log in link or code.

The program will start promptly at 11:00 AM Central Time (USA), so tune in early.

Hit the play button to watch the event. You may need to refresh your browser and press play in between sessions.

Yes! Safari and Chrome browsers work best.

A chat option will appear on your screen. Logging into the chat is optional. Log in to the chat by entering First Name, Last Name, and Email and then clicking the verification link in the confirmation email sent. The link in the email will return you directly back to Virtual Dystonia Zoo Day logged in to the chat. Once in the chat, you can post messages and see donation announcements.

Submitted photos may be shared during the event between sessions.

Submitting photos by email or posting publicly on social media with #LetsZooThis releases DMRF to use images for promotional purposes.

Then tune in at 4:15 PM Central Time to join the session.

Download this work sheet and use it to check off images or likenesses of animals you find all around you – for example, in your home décor, stuffed animals or toys, articles of clothing, or anywhere else they appear.

If you check off 8 or more animals, take a photo of your worksheet and email it to [email protected] before 4:00 Central Time and you will be entered into a free drawing for a $50 gift card and stuffed orangutan toy with DMRF face mask.

Two winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony at 5:00 PM Central Time.

Within the first five minutes of each session of Virtual Dystonia Zoo Day, there will be a different animal flashed in the corner of the viewing screen. If, by the end of the day, you can email us with a complete list of each animal from every session, you will be entered into a random drawing for a $50 gift card and a stuffed orangutan toy with DMRF face mask. Two winners will be selected.

Be sure to email us at [email protected] by 4:30 PM Central Time on September 12 to be entered in the drawing. The winner will be announced at the Closing Ceremony at 5:00 PM Central Time.
