50 Years: One Enduring Mission
50 years is a milestone. It is not the finish line.
For five decades, the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) has advanced research, supported people living with dystonia, and worked toward better treatments and ultimately, a cure.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve made meaningful progress. In 2026 alone, DMRF funded six new grants and fellowships for basic and clinical dystonia research, representing more than $1 million in research investment that will shape the future of dystonia treatment.
But there is still much work to do. People living with dystonia are counting on continued progress—faster diagnoses, better treatments, more answers, and ultimately, a cure.
The work continues because the need continues. And because people like you make it possible.
As we mark 50 years of progress, please make a year-end gift to help fuel the next chapter of discovery, education, advocacy, and support.
Make your gift by December 31 and help build a future without dystonia.
