David P. passed away in November 2024 after bravely battling a neurological disorder called dystonia. Though this condition caused David daily pain and physical limitations, he never lost his warmth, humor, or love for others.
To honor David’s life and his fight, David’s mother Marie will be running a 24-hour ultramarathon in July 2025, through scorching heat and unstable sand. This won’t be easy—but it’s meant to mirror, in some small way, the fight David showed every day of his life.
Marie is raising money for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, and every dollar will support research, family resources, and awareness to one day end dystonia for good.
