The Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy.

Your privacy is a priority for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF). We are committed to a successful stewardship program for our donors.  For donations of $100 or more, the DMRF may acknowledge the names of individual donors in our annual report and similar publications.  For corporate and foundation partners, we may acknowledge the names in publicity surrounding events and in our annual report. All DMRF donors have the option at any time to request that their names not be published in DMRF materials or publicity.  Those who have asked to remain anonymous will be excluded from this listing.

The DMRF is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. We maintain consistent policies and procedures for guarding privacy and confidentiality of donor information.  All information concerning donors or prospective donors, including their names, addresses and telephone numbers, the names of their beneficiaries, the amount of their gift, etc., shall be kept strictly confidential by the DMRF, its staff and volunteers, unless permission is obtained from donors to release such information.  All information that is obtained and maintained by the DMRF is done through private and secure systems.  Access to the data is on a needs only basis.  A unique login name and password are required to enter the database.

Donor information is used solely by DMRF and is not distributed or sold to third parties.  Should you wish to update or correct your personal contact information, remove yourself from any or all of our contact lists, or discuss a privacy concern with us, please contact the DMRF at 312-755-0198 or [email protected].

To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

We use industry-standard SSL encryption to scramble credit card information on the way from the shopper to our server. Our servers are protected and require user authentication for access.
