Topic:
Socializing with Dystonia: Finding Comfort in Connection
Living with dystonia can make socializing feel overwhelming, isolating, or even physically exhausting—but connection is still possible, and often deeply meaningful. In this session, we’ll explore the emotional and practical challenges of social interaction with dystonia, including social anxiety, self-advocacy, and navigating stigma. Together, we’ll share strategies for building authentic relationships, finding comfort in community, and showing up as ourselves—one conversation at a time.
We look forward to seeing you.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Margaux Galli at [email protected] or Joan Miravite, NP, DNP at 212-844-6075 or [email protected] for meeting details.
Our group meets monthly.
