The Portland Oregon & SW Washington Dystonia Support Group, in conjunction with the Portland Dysphonia Support Group, will host a virtual support group meeting. Individuals with all forms of dystonia as well as family and friends are welcome.

Health Benefits of Qigong
Maureen Kelly is a retired physical therapist and certified Tai Chi instructor through the Tai Chi for Health Institute. She has been studying, exploring and practicing Tai Chi for over 25 years and teaching Tai Chi since 2011. Currently, she continues to study Tai Chi & Qigong with Dr. Paul Lam, Hong Yang and Ralph Dehner while leading daily Tai Chi classes in North Portland and teaching at West Coast Fitness. When she is not leading classes or teaching, Maureen paddles on the Pink Phoenix Dragon Boat Team along with Dee.
Qigong, which is sometimes spelled Chi-Kung (and pronounced chee-gung) can harmonize, strengthen, and have a healing effect on the functioning of all the internal organs and bodily systems. It increases the supply and flow of energy throughout the body, can have a variety of rejuvenating effects and is believed to increase longevity, and it induces calm mental and emotional states.
