My son Connor and I are running the Newburyport Half Marathon on October 24th in honor of Jon Davis. Jon is a close high school friend of my wife, Nichole, and as such I’ve known and been friends with Jon for nearly 25 years. I’ve seen first hand the impact that Dystonia has had on his quality of life, and the incredible gift that DBS (deep brain stimulation) provided to him. Whatever our family can do to help even one person experience the hope and quality of life that Jon enjoys today is time and money well spent.
Jon is supporting my efforts and will match the first $1000 we raise. Funds will be used to support the results-based research funded by the DMRF that allowed Jon to bike 100 miles recently with two of his high school friends, ten years after the surgery. His is an incredibly inspiring story, and it starts with the research that made the procedure possible. We are running to allow the next Jon to bike, walk, run, swim, or ski with their friends and family. Please contribute as generously as you can.
