Warren Mayor Jim Fouts unveiled a street named after Jason Dunn, shown here with Mike Delise (baseball cap) and Mike’s granddaughter, Sylvia.

The city of Warren, Mich., has dedicated a street in honor of Jason Dunn who has been a tireless advocate for dystonia. He and his friend, Mike Delise, have raised more than $116,000 for dystonia research through their $5Cure4Dystonia fundraising campaign. Warren Mayor Jim Fouts unveiled the new street sign, Jason Dunn Way, during a ceremony earlier this month.

Jason has lived with dystonia since age six. He and Mike have teamed up to educate the world about this under-recognized brain disorder that affects more people than ALS, muscular dystrophy, and cystic fibrosis combined. Jason and Mike have worked closely with Mayor Fouts and the city of Warren to light up city hall in blue during Dystonia Awareness Month, request proclamations, and promote fundraisers.

Congratulations, Jason, for being honored in such a way! And thank you to you and Mike, from the DMRF community, for your dedication to finding a cure for dystonia.
